NIG EXTENDS RISK AWARE RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS
NIG’s Risk Control operation is extending their free Risk Aware risk management service to selected Commercial Property Owners policyholders.
NIG’s Property Owners product provides cover for owners of commercial and residential property portfolios.
In 2007, NIG partnered with RiskSTOP Ltd to introduce a free, risk analysis service for selected small business policyholders. The programme has proved popular with policyholders because it helps them to avoid unnecessary losses and the cost, inconvenience and disruption they can bring, and can keep them up to date with legislation and their responsibilities. The Risk Aware programme has now been extended with the introduction of a dedicated Property Owners version of the service.
The service requires the policyholder to complete an NIG Risk Aware Questionnaire and once reviewed by RiskSTOP, a Risk Control Pack is forwarded to the policyholders and their broker. The Risk Control Pack provides a tailored range of suitable risk management provisions, identifying where the property owner’s existing loss prevention measures could be improved.
General areas covered in the questionnaire include:
- Property management safety controls
- Fire safety management,
- Business continuity planning
- Security
- Statutory Obligation Reminders
Once the policyholder receives their personalised Risk Control Plan, they will be offered a free of charge service to assist with any implementation of the improvements recommended in the report. The Policyholder’s broker will also be involved and included in these communications
