Career history:

Jon joined RBS Insurance in 2000, he was Product and Pricing Director in UKI the partnership division responsible for the likes of Tesco, BMW and Nationwide Building Society. After the acquisition of Churchill Jon became Commercial Director and then Managing Director of the Household and Life business incorporating Direct Line, Churchill and Partner and Broker distribution. In 2009 Jon took over as Managing Director of NIG.

What experience do you bring to NIG?

Apart from my business experience I hope that I bring an understanding of people and how to get the best out of a team and an ability to create an environment in which people can work hard feel free to express themselves and still have some fun

What are your aspirations in the next 12 months for NIG?

I want to continue to create a culture which encourages people to strive for success because of their sense of pride in the business.

What are the key challenges NIG faces this year?

Sustaining profit, finding the right people when we have critical vacancies and steering the right course through a very competitive market place

What three goals do you want to achieve by the end of the year?

Sustain profit.

Having it known and widely accepted in the marketplace that NIG is a vital partner that good brokers can't be without.

Create across RBSI a shared sense of excitement about the value and opportunity that Commercial brings to the business
